Light Group Of Schools Gives Back Through CSR Initiative By Installing Boreholes
Light Group of Schools has once again demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility through a remarkable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at improving access to clean water in schools across the country.
The initiative saw the successful launch of three boreholes in Eldoret, benefiting hundreds of students and staff members.
The borehole project was spearheaded by the students of the Light Group of Schools Community Service Club, who contributed more than 70% of the project’s funding.

Their dedication and collective effort made it possible to provide sustainable water solutions to underprivileged schools, showcasing the power of youth-led community initiatives.
During the initiative, boreholes were opened at Ndonyongaria Secondary School, Mlango Adventist Primary School, and St. Luke Primary and JSS Biribiriet.
These boreholes are expected to provide a reliable source of clean water, improving hygiene, sanitation, and overall learning conditions for the students.
Beyond providing access to clean water, the students from Light Group of Schools engaged in meaningful interactions with the host schools.
They shared their aspirations, exchanged ideas, and discussed various school activities, fostering aspirit of collaboration and mutual learning.
“Our students have set a great example of how young people can take an active role in solving real-world challenges. Through this initiative, they have not only provided access to clean water but have also built relationships and inspired fellow students to think about ways they can impact their communities,” said Mr Ali Suleiman, teacher at Light Group of Schools.
This initiative aligns with Light Group of Schools’ broader mission of fostering social responsibility, leadership, and community engagement among its students.
The school remains dedicated to empowering its students to be agents of positive change and looks forward to undertaking more impactful projects in the future.
