Ukrainian military intelligence has received a T-12 speedboat as part of a project financed by a charitable foundation.

The initiative is a collaboration between the Diana Podolyanchuk Charitable Foundation and Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate.

Throughout fundraising efforts, the same project already delivered one T12 boat in August last year.

Features

The Ukrainian-made T12 boat supports both transport and combat missions, medical evacuation, and rescue operations to rescue civilians.

The 12-meter (39-foot) vessel has an aluminum hull and advanced navigation and radio systems, enabling daily and night operations.

The boat has a capacity for 16 people and features six mounting points for weapons.

It features two powerful 800-horsepower engines, reaching speeds of up to 95 kilometers (59 miles) per hour. The cruising range is 500 kilometers (311 miles).

The reconfigurable deck design allows for modifications based on operational needs.

“This is a wonderful boat, which, thanks to its universal design, allows it to be both a fire support vessel and a medevac,” said a Ukrainian military officer.

Fundraising for Equipment

Amid Russia’s invasion, Ukrainians have organized several fundraising campaigns to collect resources supporting Kyiv’s military.

In 2023, the Ukrainian armed forces received 1,000 ATGL-L3 40mm rocket-propelled grenade launchers provided by a charity organization.

In November 2022, Ukraine initiated a crowdfunding campaign to produce 100 multi-purpose unmanned surface vessels.

That same year, charities contributed with donations to manufacture drone-jamming devices.

Additionally, volunteer groups at universities across the country have established a system to collect and recycle disposable e-cigarettes, repurposing their lithium polymer batteries to power drones, the Independent reported.
