OSHKOSH – This year’s Oshkosh Garden Walk is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 9.
Visitors will have access to six private gardens across Oshkosh. They can travel on their own schedule and in any order during the event. Homeowners will be available to answer questions.
The garden walk will be held rain or shine. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 the day of at any garden. Purchase advanced tickets at uBloom or House of Flowers or online at oshkoshgardenclub.org. Children younger than 18 are admitted free.
The Oshkosh Garden Club has hosted the walk for more than a decade to showcase outstanding local gardens. The club is a non-profit organization and proceeds from the walk benefit gardening projects in the community.

Tickets available for Boys & Girls Club’s Afternoon Tea event
This summer marks the 13th year of the Character, Empowerment and Afternoon Tea Program for Boys & Girls Club girls ages 7 to 10.
Girls in the program attend six classes and learn about giving back, celebrating differences, self-expression and self-esteem, living a healthy lifestyle, and more.
The Afternoon Tea is a chance for women in the community to connect with the youth, sip tea, enjoy snacks and hear from a guest speaker.
The tea will be noon to 2 p.m. July 18 at The Gibson Social Club in Oshkosh.
Each Club girl receives a new sundress and a pair of colorful flip-flops to wear to the Tea. They also get their hair professionally styled. Ladies in attendance are invited to wear brightly colored suits and dresses and take their hats and gloves.
This year’s speaker is Allison Garner, certified professional coach, published author and owner of Thoughtly. She specializes in executive coaching, leadership development, and business consulting. For more about Garner, visit bethoughtly.com.

Staff for Sen. Johnson host office hours in Omro
Staff for U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisconsin, will hold mobile office hours. Winnebago County constituents can attend from 1 to 2 p.m. June 27 at Carter Memorial Library, 405 E. Huron St., Omro.
Those attending have the chance to meet with Johnson’s staff to request assistance with a federal agency or other federal matters.
Neenah Double Tree hosts Red Cross blood drive
A concerning shortfall in blood donations last month could stress the American Red Cross blood supply. Local residents are asked to participate in blood drives when possible.
Individuals who are at least 17 (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in general good health may be eligible to donate. Donors 18 and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
A blood drive will be held noon to 5 p.m. July 7 at Double Tree by Hilton, 123 E. Wisconsin Ave., Neenah.
