The Peruvian Air Force has received the first of two Beechcraft King Air 360C air ambulance aircraft for medical evacuation missions.

Acquiring the jets will strengthen the country’s light transport, aeromedical evacuation, disaster response, and risk management capabilities.

The aircraft is assigned to Air Group 8 in Lima and will operate from Callao Air Base to be able to reach remote areas.

Features

Peru acquired the Beechcraft King Air 360C from US-based Textron Aviation.

The aircraft is suitable for various configurations to adapt to different missions and has a capacity of 15 passengers.

It can carry up to 2,334 kilograms (5,145 pounds) in the cargo version, reaching a maximum altitude of 10,600 meters (34,700 feet).

The Beechcraft King Air 360C is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PT6A-60A engines that ensure fuel efficiency.

Its cruising speed is 578 kilometers (359 miles) per hour, allowing a quick response to critical rescue operations.

First Operations

A few hours after receiving the Beechcraft King Air 360C, the Peruvian government reported that the aircraft had been deployed on two medical missions.

Patients in critical condition were transported from the northern and southern regions to specialized hospitals in Lima.
