Marylebone Partners LLP, manager of Cayman-domiciled Marylebone Lane Fund and London-listed Majedie Investments PLC, has appointed David Cornell as Managing Director.

Working closely alongside Dan Higgins (Founder and Chief Investment Officer), Cornell will work with the senior management team that sets the company’s strategic direction, and will play a key role in identifying priority areas for growth, developing investment products, and determining the firm-wide resources needed to achieve Marylebone’s ambitious objectives.

“We are delighted that David has joined us at Marylebone Partners. He brings considerable experience building a business whilst putting clients’ interest first,” said Higgins.

“This is a hugely exciting time for Marylebone Partners, which has gone from strength to strength in recent years. I look forward to working with Dan and the team to build on the firm’s successes and help to deliver the best possible outcome for our existing and prospective client base,” added Cornell.

Previously, Cornell was a co-founder of Ocean Dial Asset Management, a specialist India-focused investment firm which managed UK-listed India Capital Growth Fund plc, amongst others. Prior to Ocean Dial, he co-managed New Star’s Institutional Emerging Market Fund and ran the BDT Emerging Market Fund.
