Canadia armoured vehicle manufacturer Roshel, has announced the acquisition of the KF411 Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle design from Panzer South Africa.

The KF411, now being produced under the Roshel brand, offers advanced protection for personnel in high-threat environments and incorporates modern defense technologies.

In a statement, Roshel CEO and Founder Roman Shimonov said, “This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone in expanding our product line and further strengthening our production capabilities in North America, with manufacturing that takes place in Canada and the USA.”

The KF411 features a monocoque body that delivers STANAG 4569 Level 3 ballistic protection and STANAG Level 4 blast protection, offering superior safety for military personnel. Its V-shaped hull is specifically designed to deflect the force of explosions, providing critical protection to occupants against landmines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

The vehicle’s proven design will be enhanced with smart systems and new technologies to address the evolving demands of modern defense environments.

“Roshel will enhance this proven design with advanced smart systems and new technologies, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of modern defense,” Shimonov added.

Production of the KF411 is already underway, and Roshel plans to have the vehicle available by the end of 2024, with all necessary ballistic and blast testing scheduled for completion in Q4 of this year. Orders are being accepted to meet growing demand for the high-protection MRAP, which is well-suited for multinational peacekeeping, humanitarian missions, and operations under the United Nations and other global coalitions.

The upgraded KF411 is expected to be deployed in a variety of operational contexts, including military, security, and humanitarian missions, enhancing the capabilities of forces around the world.
