Has it also happened with you that whenever you try to ‘adopt a diet’ or ‘eat healthy’, it is your near & dear ones who always make you break it? Well, don’t worry as you are not alone.

Losing weight is not an easy task and when all your near and dear ones love dining out at the nearest eatery then it becomes more difficult to stick to a diet.

However, today we are going to tell you how you can lose a few inches while still dining out with your friends & family.

Don’t believe us? Here are eight restaurant foods that can be a part of your weight loss diet:

1. Grilled chicken salad: Opt for a salad with grilled chicken, lots of leafy greens, and colorful vegetables. Be cautious with the dressing; choose a low-calorie option or ask for it on the side.

2. Vegetable stir-fry: Request a vegetable stir-fry with lean protein like tofu or shrimp. Ask for the sauce to be served on the side and use it sparingly to control the calorie intake.

3. Broiled or baked fish: Fish like salmon, cod, or tilapia, cooked through broiling or baking, are healthy choices that provide essential nutrients without excessive calories.

4. Vegetable soup: A broth-based vegetable soup can be a filling and low-calorie option before your main course. Avoid creamy or high-sodium soups.

5. Grilled or steamed vegetables: Many restaurants offer side dishes of grilled or steamed vegetables. These are excellent choices as they provide essential nutrients and are typically low in calories.

6. Sashimi: If you enjoy sushi, sashimi (thin slices of raw fish) is a fantastic low-calorie option without the added calories from rice and sauces.

7. Turkey or chicken wrap: Look for whole-grain wraps with lean turkey or chicken, along with plenty of veggies. Avoid wraps with high-calorie spreads or dressings.

8. Fresh fruit bowl: For dessert or a sweet treat, choose a fresh fruit bowl instead of high-calorie, sugary options. Fruit provides natural sweetness and essential vitamins.

Remember, portion control is key to successful weight loss. Even healthy restaurant foods can contribute to weight gain if consumed excessively. Additionally, don’t be afraid to customize your order to meet your dietary goals, and drink water instead of sugary beverages to save on calories.
