Adekunle Gold is set to grace us with his highly anticipated album, “Tequila Ever After.” As the release approaches, we have gathered essential details about the album that will undoubtedly heighten your excitement.

The talented musician had for a while teased the drop of a new project, and although he dropped ‘Tio Tequila’, it was evident that the Tio Tequila season had more to it than a 3-track EP. And just as we thought, he announced a full-length album. Here are 10 things you need to know about it:

1. Album Number

Tequila Ever After would make Adekunle Gold’s fifth studio album. The maestro singer has had a run of four outstanding albums since his debut album, Gold, in 2017.

2. Album Length

According to a post on Adekunle Gold’s socials, he revealed, “I recorded over 60 songs and we picked the best 18 for you.” This confirms that the album will have 18 carefully handpicked hits, making it his longest body of work to date.

3. Sequel to Tio Tequila

The full-length album comes as a sequel to the three-track EP he released earlier, Tio Tequila. Tio Tequila came as a preview for the full-length album, Tequila Ever After.

4. Origin of Tio Tequila/Tequila Ever After

For everyone curious about how the title Tequila Ever After came about or how the whole Tio Tequila movement was birthed, Adekunle Gold revealed that he got the inspiration from the first time he tasted the popular Mexican distilled spirit, “Tequila.” He said the calm, chill, and summery vibe he got from it spawned the whole era and a song that same day.

5. Tio Tequila Era

Over the years, we have seen Adekunle Gold morph a couple of times, from the innocent and vulnerable Adekunle Gold, to the more mature and aware AG Baby (is your baby and is your daddy), and now to the era about to be birthed by this album, Tio Tequila. A well-achieved version, just living life to its fullest and enjoying every bit of it.

6. Tracklist

The tracklist for the album was recently revealed by Adekunle Gold, featuring 18 tracks as promised, and all features unveiled on it.

7. Features:

The album is heavily star-studded, featuring numerous top artistes both home and abroad. Notable features include Legends like Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers, popping Nigerian sensation, ODUMODUBLVCK and his dearest wife, Simi among others.

8. Expectations on The Album:

The album has been promised by Adekunle to be era-defining, ending his days of delayed gratification, one that would make everybody give him his deserved flowers. We can only wait for him to make good on his promise.

9. Tours:

The album will kick off his North American and UK tour, coming in clutch to save the summer. The tour will span from September 22 to November 5.
